A Private Secondary Night School

Favor Transition Academy offers a restorative, comprehensive and high-quality education with specialized programs for students displaying patterns of disengagement through exclusionary factors that include chronic absenteeism, suspension, expulsion, juvenile justice-involved, credit deficient, behavioral disorders, etc.

Recognizing the diverse needs of our students, our smaller learning environment and hybrid educational model, ensures students are equipped to succeed and not penalized for choices and situations that are often out of their control. As a transition academy, we partner with our students' home schools/districts to ensure students have access to the most appropriate learning environment at all times.  While our school is designed to expedite student preparedness to succeed in a traditional school environment, we recognize some students and families thrive in smaller, more intimate settings.  As such, FTA students have the opportunity to transition back to their home school at the end of each semester, or they can elect to earn their high school diploma from Favor Transition Academy.

Our hybrid evening school model presents the perfect opportunity for students to meet both their academic and life needs.  FTA students receive instruction through a blended model.  Two days a week are in person and three days a week are online. Interventionist use in-person school days to introduce and/or review content standards in small group classes.  During the day, FTA students participate in college and career readiness experiences through dual enrollment, internships, work-based learning opportunities, social programs or are gainfully employed.  This feature of FTA ensures our young scholars are maximizing their days through productive efforts that position them for success in life. 

The intensive support offered at FTA will result in their successful graduation and transition into higher education, the military and/or a career field of choice. Through partnership with non-profit organizations, state and county justice agencies, colleges/universities, the military and local businesses, FTA ensures preparedness for college and career in accordance with the mission of the school.  FTA is a school focused on:
