Core Academic Subjects

Favor Transition Academy utilizes the Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) as the foundation for developing our school curriculum. The Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) define the knowledge and skills students should acquire in each subject and grade level. 

To support student access during non-traditional hours, the school curriculum is also available to students through the FTA Coursify Platform.  The FTA Coursify Platform includes:

• Engaging Content: The curriculum incorporates a variety of multimedia elements, such as videos, interactive exercises, and simulations.

• Direct Instruction Videos: FTA teachers upload videos when applicable explaining key concepts and model problem-solving strategies. 

• Interactive Learning Tools: The FTA Coursify platform includes interactive learning tools and resources, such as guided notes, close reading environments etc.

•  Blended learning: Students can take some courses online and some in a traditional classroom setting. 

• Credit recovery: Students who have failed a course can use FTA Coursify to retake the course and earn credit. 

• Summer school: FTA Coursify can be used for summer school programs to help students catch up or get ahead. • Alternative education: 

• FTA Coursify can be used in alternative education programs for students who need a flexible learning environment.
